1Q What was the most difficult assement item you completed in C0IS2005 this term?

1A The most difficult assement item is item two which I had suffer a lot with ERD but at last with the help of the lecture and with my friends I had completed successfully in the C01S2005.

2Q What was the difficult about it and how could you suggest it could be improved?

2A The main difficult was the ERD diagram which I was unable to draw it .Then I had started thinking of smaller diagram with the help of the lecture in the tutorial classes and improved a lot by drawing different diagram on different topic’s and this made me a lot of improvement.

3Q Name three things you learnt this term in C0IS2005?

3A (1)In this course the benefit is interaction between student and staff.(2) With the help of the assements I learnt how to prepare for the exam in the easy way to get good marks.(3) I got a lot of general knowledge with this C0IS2005 where I learnt lot of topics with will help during the exams

Data Conversion: It is an installation process for the Capricornia Car Pool System. When the student or staff takes a car for rent the details of particular person is entered into a system. When the car is taken for the rent first car should be tested a and check it is in a good condition or not other wise they will be a problem while driving.

Data Conversion Strategies: When the car is taken for a rent and due some problem if the car is not working properly then immediately they have to exchange that car and the details of the existing car must be entered otherwise they will be a problem in some case the pay of the rent will increases.

Data Conversion Security: They must enter the data correctly and note the number of hours taken. The main important is when they return the car the employee must check the car is in good condition or not and then the bill must be given to the customer to pay without checking the pay must not be taken.

Data Conversion Control: When the details are correct but some time they may be a problem and we must try to control it and solve that problem carefully. In enter those details into the other system if there is system problem within a sufficient time and complete the solution.

Corrective Maintenance: It is to make out if there is any error in the Capricornia car pool system and also identify the logical errors. If there is any problem with the system they can change the networking and store the latest version to run the system and corrects all the timing the student had entered.

Example: When the student enters the wrong starting time it will automatically correct the error.

Adaptive Maintenance: This to insert the new adaptation to the current system which can do all the operation very easier such as start time and end time and end time for the rent.

Example: It checks all the vehicles at once and gives the amount to be payee.

Perfective Maintenance: It is to trained maintainable and also transform the data in between the work and enter the new data.

Example: In between the student can keep the other vehicle for the rent. People starting from the same point and traveling to same place can use this system.

Preventive Maintenance: It is to avoid the problems in the parking list and implement the new process. It is easy to find sharing and student who cannot afford to buy a car can rent a car.

Example: When there are number of cars for parking.

What is the name of the innovation?

The name Innovation is defined as “The capability of continuously realizing a desired future state” (John Kao, The Innovation Manifesto, 2005).

The name of the innovation is called Capricornia car pool system. It is developed to make a new system that organizes the automated car pool system to avoid congestion. This innovation is developed to organize the traffic and book the parking places where everyone can save time. This runs smooth when it is automated and well maintained. This a kind of car fleet management where the vehicles are arranged as per the request of the people who make bookings online or telephone for any good reason may it be parking the vehicles or renting a car from the pool.

This is a new innovation which helps the students where it helps them for easy accessibility for renting the cars on hourly, or daily or sometimes on monthly basis. This system mainly helps the international students as they might not be having vehicles so that they can book the vehicles as and when required.This system requires a kind of authentication wherein the students are given a kind of swipe cards or bar-coded cards. For this type of innovation the charges are to be paid by the credit cards or cheques. This facility runs fabulous as the cars are been maintained in good condition without any problems.

These kinds of innovations help students and staff in many ways. It provides good interaction between both staff and students who belong to the same university. They can share their ideas and experiences with this kind of a system. There will be no communication gap between the management and the students as everyone using this kind of a system belong to one community. This system needs to be given authentication wherein the students and staff are given unique user ID and password. This is a good approach to avoid confusion and arrange things as planned. Anyone can make bookings in advance so as to park accordingly. This avoids lot of traffic.

Describe the innovation and how it would work and the service it would provide to students and/or staff.

The innovation of car pool system is very useful for the students as well as staff and is environmental friendly. The introduction of car pool system helps people to save fuel, traffic, environment and many other things. People starting from same point or near by place and traveling to same place can use this system. This helps in reducing vehicles which reduces traffic, pollution which leads to saving of time also.

The car pool system in university helps the students as they do not want to spend more money for traveling. Students starting from a same place can go to university by sharing car which is much cheaper than public transport and time saving. The present car pool system is completely manual. The present carpool system in the university should be made online so that students can know other students or staff starting from their place to university. This is an easy way to find people for sharing. Students who can not afford to buy a car can rent a car by this system.

This system checks out the condition of the cars when a student or the staff of the university returns back car to the pool system. Mainly for this kind of pool system are maintained to give concessions to the students who belong to the same university where they show activate participation when they are offered concessions. The management of the university puts in lot of effort in maintaining this type of system for giving better facilities to the students and staff. These types of innovations provide lot of employment opportunities for the students who are seeking part time or casual jobs where they can engage themselves, to name a few cleaning and washing the cars.

The identification of any innovation is simple as some are born intelligent and some learn and inculcate to become an innovator.
